After investigation and thorough search, the suspected killer of Nipsey Hussle has been arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to the LAPD’s tweet, the suspected killer, Eric Holder, 29, who had been on the run after fleeing the scene of the shooting in a waiting car, was picked up on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
USA Today reports that LA Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida told the Associated Press that a man matching Holder’s description was detained Tuesday afternoon in Bellflower, a city about 20 miles southeast of where Hussle was killed.
Investigators believe the shooting was the result of a “personal matter” between Holder and Hussle.
Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore told reporters the suspect had a verbal altercation with the rapper.
Moore said at one point the suspect left but them came back with a gun and opened fire.
Nipsey Hussle was killed on Sunday, March 31, 2019, in front of his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles by the now identified killer, Eric Holder.
