Peller Replies Pastor Over JAMB Allegations, Threatens Lawsuit

The social media streets are buzzing with drama as Nigerian TikTok sensation Peller is not taking things lightly after being blamed for the mass failure in the 2025 JAMB exams.

The content creator, known for his humorous and relatable skits alongside his girlfriend Jarvis, is now threatening to drag Pastor Kesiena Esiri to court.

The firestorm began when Pastor Esiri, during a sermon that has since gone viral, accused Peller and Jarvis of being a major distraction to Nigerian youths. According to the clergyman, the duo’s constant presence on social media is the reason many students couldn’t focus on their studies.

“Young people spend all day on Peller’s page, from morning till night. So how can they possibly pass JAMB?” Pastor Esiri declared, calling out the couple from the pulpit.

But Peller wasn’t about to let that slide.

In a fiery video response, the TikTok star slammed the pastor’s claims as baseless and defamatory. He insisted that content consumption is a personal choice and no one is forced to watch his videos.

“See that pastor eh, we go sue you! Yes, Mr Prophet, we will sue you. Because you used our names to collect offering in your church,” Peller fumed, visibly upset.

The internet instantly lit up, with fans divided. Some rallied behind Peller, arguing that entertainers shouldn’t be scapegoated for academic failures. Others sided with the pastor, expressing concern about how much time students spend on social media instead of studying.

While Pastor Esiri has yet to issue a formal response to the lawsuit threat, the saga has ignited broader debates across Nigeria on the influence of social media personalities and the accountability of youth in the digital age.

As the storm brews, one thing is clear: the battle between pulpit and platform is far from over, and the intersection of faith, fame, and education is now a hot-button issue in Nigeria’s public discourse.
