Nigerian street-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has announced his upcoming EP titled ‘Ogo Most Wanted’.
This announcement comes amidst his ongoing legal challenges with the Ogun State Police, who recently declared him wanted for allegedly assaulting government officials.
Portable unveiled the EP’s poster on his Instagram page, captioning it: “Ogo Wanted. Music money pass yahoo. Zehnation, many many inspiration.” While the exact release date remains undisclosed, the project is expected to delve into his recent confrontations with authorities.
This move aligns with Portable’s history of transforming personal controversies into musical narratives. Following his 2021 breakout hit ‘Zazzu Zeh’ featuring Olamide, he has consistently drawn from real-life incidents to create music that resonates with his audience. For instance, after a video surfaced of him scaling a fence to evade arrest over an unpaid debt on his G-Wagon Brabus, he released the track ‘Spiderman’.
Despite his legal entanglements, Portable continues to engage his fanbase by intertwining his life experiences with his artistry, maintaining his presence in the Nigerian music scene.
