Nigeria’s fiery cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, in a stirring prophecy delivered on Sunday, August 3, 2025, raised a red flag over the political future of some of the nation’s top power brokers.
He warned that without divine alignment and genuine governance, their 2027 ambitions could collapse like a house of cards.
The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church didn’t mince words as he issued a caution to seven sitting governors, warning that their second-term dreams were on shaky ground. According to Ayodele, unless these governors couple strong performance with serious spiritual devotion, they risk political extinction: “Their return is not guaranteed. Only prayer and hard work can preserve their mandates,” he warned.
The governors he named include:
Umo Eno (Akwa Ibom)
Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta)
Peter Mbah (Enugu)
Bassey Otu (Cross River)
Uba Sani (Kaduna)
Dauda Lawal (Zamfara)
Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo)
But the prophecy didn’t end at the state level.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, a towering figure in national politics, also found himself under prophetic scrutiny. Primate Ayodele revealed that Akpabio’s position is “negotiable” and could be sacrificed on the altar of political scheming if he fails to seek divine guidance and tread wisely: “Akpabio must turn to God and work hard… they may trade his position,” Ayodele cautioned.
Adding fuel to the already charged revelation, the cleric hinted at turbulent times ahead for many federal lawmakers, including some high-ranking senators. He specifically advised Senator Ned Nwoko to shelve any ambition of running for governor, warning: “It’s not yet his time.”
Verdict of Heaven?
With the 2027 general elections slowly gaining political momentum, Ayodele’s prophecy has struck a chord across Nigeria’s political landscape. Known for accurate predictions on both political and global events, the Primate’s voice carries both spiritual authority and public curiosity.
His message, though spiritual, has unmistakable political undertones: lead with integrity, serve with purpose, and pray with sincerity—or prepare to be replaced.
Whether these leaders heed the call or ignore the signs, one thing is certain—2027 may not be business as usual.
