The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have opened their own official Instagram account.
This new account is separate from the one they formerly shared with Prince William and Kate Middleton which was @KensingtonRoyal.
The launch of the Instagram page comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they are establishing their own royal household, separate to that of Prince William and Kate Middleton at Kensington Palace. The move means the Sussexes will have their own staff based at Buckingham Palace, which will report to the Queen’s private secretary.
Their new page handle @SussexRoyal so far has only one post, which is a slideshow of 10 highlights from their royal work.
They captioned the post with a sweet note: “Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal.’- Harry & Meghan”
Meghan was a prolific Instagrammer before she met Harry, and she deleted her account shortly after their engagement was announced.
