This weeks Rhythm Hit Song comes from the late American rapper, Pop Smoke with a new single titled “AP”.

The song is off his first acting role in Eddie Huang‘s directorial debut “BOOGIE” which is about a talented basketball player whose parents want him to focus on academics instead. The movie was shot prior to Pop Smoke’s death in February 2020.

Pop Smoke’s posthumous album “Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon” came out last summer, followed by an expanded special edition version featuring Young Thug, Gunna, Burna Boy, Jamie Foxx, and more.

The Brooklyn rapper hadn’t even scratched the surface of his potential before he was murdered. ‘AP’ is just another reminder how talented Pop was so we’ve decided to make it our “Rhythm Hit Song of The Week”.
