With the World Cup just over a month away, teams will soon be announcing their 23 to 30 provisional squads for the upcoming tournament.

Brazil who have won the competition five times have announced their 23-man squad. Brazilian Captain and star player Neymar who sustained an injury in January which ruled him out of the season for Paris Saint Germain is included in 23-man squad as he is fit enough to be included in the tournament.

Questioned were raised whether the attacker could make having had an operation in March. He will be joined with the likes of Gabriel Jesus who has won the Premier League with Manchester City and Roberto Firmino whose season with Liverpool is not concluded as the Champions League Final is fast approaching.

In midfield, Casemiro and Fernandinho will be providing the steel alongside creative talents from the likes of Willian of Chelsea, Philippe Coutinho of Barcelona, Douglas Costa of Juventus, etc. Defence seems to be the question with Dani Alves out of the tournament through injury while David Luiz did not make it to the squad.

Thiago Silva is included with Filipe Luis of Atletico Madrid, Marcelo of Real Madrid, Marquinhos of Paris Saint Germain, etc. The goalkeeper department seems to be a competition between Alisson of AS Roma and Ederson of Manchester City which will give Brazil coach Tite a selection headache.

Brazil come as favourites for the tournament as well as righting the wrong from the 2014 tournament where they were knocked out in the semi-finals against Germany that infamous 7-1 defeat.
