Senator and Chairman of Silverbird Group, Ben Murray-Bruce joined OAPs Toke Makinwa and Arthur Ngwube on Rhythm’s ‘Late Morning Show’ for an interview.
During the interview he talked about his decision not to run for a second term, stating that he does not like to be in a place for too long and that no Bayelsa East Senator has run for office more than a term. He also stressed that Bayelsa is a state with 97% unemployment and bad roads.
With regards to minimum wage, he said a lot of states cannot pay N18,000 so there should be a balance. He then goes on to say, “I don’t think there should be a national minimum wage, I think there should be a minimum wage for each state.” He also believes that minimum wage is counter-productive.
The Senator also stated that the problem with politics in Nigeria is the Police, INEC, and APC.
