Silverbird’s World of Records Unleashes New Talents As Dance Marathon Begins

The long awaited Silverbird’s World of Records dance marathon event has commenced on Wednesday 30,  October 2024.

This comes after the organisers launched its ambitious Dance Marathon in Lagos, captivating audiences with the extraordinary stamina, skills, and spirit of dancers determined to etch their names in history.

Hosted at the Silverbird Galleria, the Dance Marathon is the first in a series of planned record-setting events aimed at spotlighting local talent and placing Nigerian dancers on a global stage.

With a prize of one million Naira awaiting the most resilient performer, the event draws dancers from all walks of life. Participants have prepared rigorously for this endurance test, with high hopes of breaking the existing Guinness World Record for the longest marathon dance, which stands at 127 hours, a record set by Srushti Sudhir Jagtap from India[6].

As part of the pre-event activities, Silverbird gathered a significant following, encouraging local and international audiences to support dancers. This highly anticipated marathon, which began today, October 30, 2024, will push participants’ endurance to new limits, with fans rallying to witness what is anticipated to be a transformative moment for Nigeria’s dance community. In bringing global recognition to emerging talents, Silverbird is not only hosting an event but creating a platform for unparalleled cultural expression
