South African Artists, Musa Keys, Tyla Make RIAA Class Of 2024

South African artists Musa Keys and Tyla have reached significant milestones by being inducted into the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) Class of 2024, marking their first Gold and Platinum certifications in the United States.

Musa Keys received an RIAA Gold certification for his collaboration with Nigerian artist Davido on the hit single “Unavailable,” which has sold over 500,000 units in the U.S.

Tyla’s debut album was highlighted among RIAA’s Year-End’s Best 2024, receiving a Gold certification.

The inclusion of Tyla and Musa Keys in the RIAA Class of 2024 underscores the growing global influence of African artists. They join a prestigious list that features international talents such as Nigerian-American country music star Shaboozey, whose single “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” became 2024’s best-selling song and broke the Billboard Hot 100 record for the longest No. 1 reign.
