The Super Eagles on Monday played a 1-1 draw against the indomitable Lions of Cameroon during the reverse fixture of Russia 2018 World Cup Qualifier, in Yaounde.

The goalless draw from the match gave the Eagles four points from both matches, having beaten the Cameroonians 4-0 in Uyo, on Friday.

Currently, the Super Eagles have extended their lead to 10points in Group B. Zambia are second with four points, Cameroon are third with three points and Algeria are at the bottom with one point.

A converted penalty from Vincent Aboubakar and a goal from Gent forward, Moses Simon, ensured the two sides shared the points at the Stade Omnisports Ahmadou Ahidjo.

Super Eagles held on for a draw over their bitter rivals Cameroon as the hosts searched for a winner.

Nigeria will play their last two matches in October against Zambia in Uyo and Algeria in Algiers in November to ensure their qualification to Russia.
