South African singer, Tyla Laura Seethal well known as Tyla has made history at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards, winning three awards, surpassing some of the biggest names in Nigerian music.
Tyla achieved the feat of winning awards in three major categories namely, Best African Act, Best R&B Artist, and Best Afrobeats Artist, where she competed against top Afrobeats stars like Nigeria’s Ayra Starr, Asake, Rema, and Burna Boy.
