UEFA Honours Ronaldo, Buffon For Champions League Feats

Football icons, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gianluigi Buffon have been honoured with a special awards at the  UEFA Champions League phase draw, in Monaco on Thursday evening.

Ronaldo was recognised for his remarkable legacy as the all-time leading goal scorer in the Champions League, while former Italy goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon received the 2024 UEFA President’s Award.

Considering thier remarkable feats in the prestigious competition, both Ronaldo and Buffon were honoured at the UEFA Champions League phase draw.

Establishing his status as the UEFA Champions League’s all-time top scorer, Ronaldo was acknowledged for the  prestigious honour from UEFA,

The special award was presented by the UEFA President, Aleksander Čeferin, during the 2024/25 UCL draw ceremony on Thursday, 29 August.

Having 140 goals across 183 appearances, Ronaldo’s unparalleled achievements in the UEFA Champions League, Renaldo no doubt, has redefined the competition’s history.
