Veteran Nollywood Actor, Charles Olumo Passes On

Veteran Nollywood actor Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, well known as Charles Olumo and “Agbako,” has died at the age of 101.

Olumo’s career spanned decades, making him a prominent figure in Nigeria’s film industry, was unowned for his remarkable roles in Yoruba films.

He was celebrated for his unique comedic timing and portrayal of tough characters that brought Yoruba cinema to life.

His death was confirmed on Thursday morning, October 31, 2024.

According to reports, Olumo passed away peacefully, marking the end of a life deeply devoted to the arts.

Tributes poured in from the film industry, including fellow actors like Mr. Latin and Jide Kosoko, who praised him for his contributions to Nollywood and his impact on generations of actors and viewers
