Talented Nigerian artist, Asake has won the Best African Artiste of Year at the 24th edition of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The award show was held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) on Sunday evening, 7th May 2023.
Asake beat competition from Ayra Star, Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, Libianca and The Therapist to win the award.
Nigerian hitmaker Mayorkun won the award for Best Collaboration for his part in Camidoh‘s “Sugarcane” remix.
Hip Hop star Black Sherif won the award for Best Artist and Most Popular song for his smash hit “Kwaku The Hustler”.
