Why Dana Aircraft Skidded Off Runway At Port Harcourt
An aircraft belonging to Dana Airlines overshot the runway at Port Harcourt International Airport, skidding off into the bush.
The management of the Dana Airline has said that its plane skidded off the runway due to “inclement weather”.
It stated that the pilots encountered “very stormy weather and strong winds upon landing”.
The plane, which was flying in from Abuja, skidded off and went into the bush near the runway.
No life was lost; all the passengers and crew disembarked to safety.
“Thankfully there were no casualties and all our passengers and crew on board were disembarked safely with timely response from ground emergency services,” the airline management said of the incident.
This incident is coming a week after passengers of a Dana flight shared stories of an exit door falling off upon touchdown, sharing photos of a gaping hole on the plane.
