British artist, Wiley teams up with Sean Paul and Stefflon Don releasing video to single titled “Boasty” featuring actor Idris Elba.
In the visual, Wiley is played by young actor Brooklyn Appiah, who lip syncs his bars.
Shot in London, the video follows each artist as they fight for screen time and command our attention for their bars. Switching back and forth from young Wiley to Stefflon Don, the video follows the punchy hooks delivered by the two rappers, before Sean Paul claims his space. Idris Elba’s section is in stark contrast to the rest of the video, capturing the swaggering Luther star in a mansion complete with a film set, production team and a hawk while decked in a Gucci coat.
Henry Scholfield who directed the video had this to say, “I liked this idea of the artists all competing for lyrical screen-space with them crumpling, folding, or stomping on each other to bring us from one to the next. It had a kinda vibe of bigupmanship and a visual riff on who’s the boasty-iest… to say it was a shoot to remember would be a bit of an understatement. What a killer quartet of awesome artists.”
