Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has cancelled her upcoming performance at DSTV Festival in South Africa scheduled to hold later this month.
The singer took to Twitter on Tuesday to make the annoucement following the Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.
“I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.“

The singer was the only Nigerian artiste billed to perform at the two-day concert scheduled to begin on the 21st of September, 2019, which is dominated by South African musicians like Cassper Nyovest and Dj Kent.
Tiwa joins the likes of Burna Boy, YCee, Skales, Falz and several others who have openly condemned the attacks.
The attacks in South Africa escalated yesterday when several foreigners including Nigerians were killed but citizens of the country.
