Spanish football manager, Mikel Arteta has urged Bukayo Saka to continue pushing his boundaries by drawing inspiration from his childhood idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, following a brilliant start to the 2024/2025 Premier League season.
The Arsenal winger has already netted five goals and delivered 10 assists across 12 matches, impressing both fans and manager alike.
Arteta noted that Saka’s progression each year is evident, pointing out the steady increase in his numbers. Reflecting on Saka’s early admiration for Ronaldo, Arteta suggested that aspiring to reach such lofty heights could only benefit the young forward’s growth.
While Ronaldo’s meteoric rise at Manchester United was initially unexpected, Arteta believes Saka shares the same qualities that made Ronaldo a global phenomenon.
