Real Madrid, and French football star, Kylian Mbappé, has vehemently denied recent allegations of rape that surfaced in Swedish media.
Reports had linked the forward to an ongoing investigation, claiming that he was a suspect in a case involving sexual assault.
However, Mbappé’s legal team and representatives have categorically rejected these claims, calling them “totally false” and “slanderous.”
In a statement, his communications team condemned the reports, accusing the Swedish media of spreading baseless rumors without any credible evidence. They emphasized that the allegations were not only unfounded but also irresponsible and that Mbappé had not received any formal legal notice or summons regarding the matter.
Mbappé’s lawyer also expressed shock at the claims, noting that the footballer is “flabbergasted” by the accusations. His legal team has taken steps to clear his name, and they are likely to pursue legal action against the media outlets involved in disseminating the false information.
