Global direct selling company QNET recently hosted a group of African journalists, including Kayode Bakerr of Rhythm FM and Silverbird Communications Nigeria, in Malaysia for the 2025 edition of its annual V-Convention, themed “We Rise Together.”
Media representatives from Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Togo, Guinea, Senegal, and Benin participated in the familiarisation tour, which began in Kuala Lumpur. The journalists visited the QI Group headquarters, toured iconic sites such as the Petronas Twin Towers and Chinatown, and were accommodated at the Hilton Hotel.
In Penang, they joined over 8,000 participants from across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas at the Amari Spice Convention Centre. The event showcased QNET’s newest health and wellness innovations at the QNET Carnival, including:
Amezcua Chi Pendant 4 – supports energy balance and EMF protection.
Amezcua Bio Disc 3 – enhances hydration and nutrient delivery.
Amezcua Bio Light 3 – a biophoton therapy device for natural wellness.
EDG3 Plus – for immune support and glutathione production.
Amezcua E-Guard X – reduces the effects of electromagnetic pollution.
QNET also introduced Quick Focus, a new brain support supplement, and unveiled updates to QLearn, its expanding digital learning platform, which offers leadership and entrepreneurship training.
During the tour, a special press conference was held for the visiting African journalists. Four senior executives addressed a range of questions related to product development, ethical business practices, and the company’s anti-scam initiatives:
Ramya Chandrasekaran, Group Chief Communications Officer, QI Group
Trevor Kuna, Chief Marketing Officer, QNET
Nikhil Patel, Chief Legal Officer, QNET
Jean Francois Huertas, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, QNET
The executives clarified the differences between QI Group and QNET, outlined QNET’s “SAY NO” campaign against fraud, and highlighted tools like the WhatsApp Compliance Line (+233 256 630 005) for reporting misconduct.
QNET’s commitment to social impact was also highlighted through the RYTHM Foundation and FinGreen, a financial literacy initiative for undeserved communities.
The familiarisation trip gave participating journalists including Kayode Bakerr a first-hand understanding of QNET’s operations, values, and ongoing efforts to promote ethical business in Africa and beyond.
