Afrobeats has been on a major global rise and American Grammy-winning producer Timbaland has shown interest in collaborating with talented Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold.
The legendary producer took to his Instagram story, posting a video of himself listening to Adekunle Gold’s “Something Different”.
He praised the song, calling it “hard” and expressed a desire to work with Adekunle Gold.
Timbaland is one of the most decorated producers in the US. He has worked with multiple multi-Grammy-winning artists including Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Jay Z, Missy Elliot, and many more.
He has previously shown his admiration for Afro-house queen Niniola and featured on her album, “Colours and Sounds.”
Adekunle Gold is one of the Nigerian artists advancing Afrobeats. He has collaborated with American singer Lucky Daye on his hit single ‘Sinner’. He also collaborated with Rick Ross on the remix of his smash hit “5 Star”.
