Lil Nas X’s Wild L.A. Stroll Ends In Hospital

Los Angeles woke up to a bizarre scene on August 21 when Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X—real name Montero Lamar Hill—was spotted strutting along Ventura Boulevard in nothing but tight white underwear and cowboy boots.

Video footage captured by TMZ shows the 26-year-old pop star behaving erratically at 6 a.m.—balancing a traffic cone on his head, mumbling strange phrases like “coming to the party tonight,” and weaving into the middle of the street.

When Concern Turns to Crisis

Alarmed residents dialed 911, prompting LAPD officers to intervene. According to reports, Lil Nas X charged at the officers, forcing them to detain him on a misdemeanor obstruction charge. But instead of being booked immediately, the rapper was rushed to a nearby hospital amid fears of a possible drug overdose.

Authorities later confirmed he received medical evaluation and treatment before being transferred to Valley Jail in Van Nuys.

A Pattern of Health Struggles

The shocking episode adds to a string of recent health challenges. Earlier this year, Lil Nas X revealed he suffered from Bell’s palsy, a condition that caused partial facial paralysis. Despite that scare, he has stayed musically active, releasing the EP Days Before Dreamboy while preparing for his highly anticipated second studio album, Dreamboy—slated for late 2025.

The Bigger Picture

This latest incident paints a troubling picture of an artist whose meteoric rise—from viral sensation with Old Town Road to global superstar—has come with visible personal battles. While fans flooded social media with concern, others pointed to the darker side of fame and the pressures of living life under constant spotlight.

For now, Lil Nas X is expected to face misdemeanor charges, but questions linger about his wellbeing—and whether this marks a wake-up call in his journey of stardom, creativity, and survival.
