Fans Urge Comedian Nasboi To Quit Tour After Near-Fatal Crash

Nigerian singer and comedian Nasboi has narrowly escaped death in a horrifying car accident during his ambitious 36-state kneeling tour to secure a feature with Afrobeats superstar Davido.

The viral campaign, which has earned him both admiration and concern, took a frightening turn when his vehicle collided with a heavy-duty truck, leaving it mangled and nearly unrecognizable.

Nasboi, known for his creative persistence and comic charm, had embarked on a nationwide journey kneeling in front of government buildings in all 36 states of Nigeria—each time holding a placard reading “A verse from Davido”—as a dramatic plea for a collaboration with his longtime musical idol.

However, the tone shifted dramatically when Nasboi went live on Instagram after the crash, revealing the wreckage of his car lodged under a trailer. Despite the devastating scene, he appeared calm and thankful for his survival.

“Omo, me I no even know… na laugh I just dey laugh,” he said, visibly shaken. “Because this is crazy. Na to give up at this point. But we thank God nobody got harmed—no injuries at all.”

Fans flooded his page with messages of gratitude and relief—but many also urged him to abandon the high-risk journey.

“God has given you a sign. Please go home,” one commenter pleaded. “No verse is worth your life.”

Another wrote, “We admire your passion, but your safety is more important. Let Davido come to you now.”

The accident has sparked a wider conversation on the extreme lengths entertainers go in pursuit of recognition in the highly competitive Nigerian music scene. While some still hail Nasboi’s determination, others believe his message has already been heard—and that the time has come to step back.

As of now, Davido has not publicly addressed the incident, but fans are hoping the superstar will finally give Nasboi the collaboration he’s been kneeling for—before the dream turns into a tragedy.
