Nigerian artist Shallipopi, known to fans as Crown Uzama, has taken a bold step by reportedly parting ways with Dapper Music, the label that helped him rise to fame.
He’s now charting his own course with Plutomania Records, an independent label he recently unveiled alongside two new signees, Zerryl and Tega Boi, Pulse.ng reports.
This new direction signals Shallipopi’s ambition to carve out more creative and business independence as he builds on the success of popular tracks like “Elon Musk” and his acclaimed album Presido La Pluto.
Dvpper Music played an integral role in Shallipopi’s growth, particularly through connections with established artists such as Zlatan Ibile, who he’s credited with giving his career a powerful push at a pivotal time.
The launch of Plutomania Records showcases Shallipopi’s vision not only to elevate his own career but also to foster new talent in Nigeria’s dynamic music landscape.
This venture could mark a turning point, positioning him as a driving force for emerging artists and underscoring his goal to expand his influence beyond his own music
